An editorial advisory board is a small group of trusted community members who give advice to a newspaper. We are pleased to announce the formation of an Advisory Board to help guide the work of Chikin Melele. These individuals were chosen in recognition of their longstanding support, advice, and guidance over the years. Their experience, integrity, and commitment to Marshallese communities help strengthen Chikin Melele as a trusted source of information.
They help guide the work of Chikin Melele by offering ideas, sharing concerns, and reminding us to be fair, accurate, and respectful. The advisory board does not write the daily news and does not control what is published. Their role is to support good journalism, protect community trust, and help Chikin Melele serve Marshallese people responsibly.
The Advisory Board for Chikin Melele News includes: Eldon Alik, Carlton Abon, Michael Mapa, Mina Langmos, and Olivia Paschal
