On August 27, 2025, the Majuro Deaf Education Center proudly opened its new basketball court with a ribbon cutting celebration and basketball game.

Students, families, and community members gathered to celebrate, with remarks from Hon. Gerald Zackious (Minister of Education) and Dr. Natalie Nimmer (PSS Commissioner). The project was made possible through a generous grant from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS). President Arlington Tibon also spoke representing the Church. The new court will serve as a safe, inclusive space where students can learn, grow, and thrive through sports and teamwork.
