Walter Riketa

It’s personal, but I am glad to share!

Firstly, I thank God for my life! I also give thanks to the amazing woman who has been my rock and anchor for the past 11 years, who has been by my side all the way. We have three beautiful children together with an adopted child who is the oldest!

I was born and raised on Woja, Ailinglaplap. Laddrik in Ailinglaplap im Jaluit, 50/50. My high school freshmen year was at Jaluit High School, 2001-2002, but I’m a Marshall Islands High School graduate, 2002-2005. I was also the Student Body President and graduated as a Salutatorian. I’m a “Close Up” alumni, year 2002. I represented RMI Youths in a UNESCO Conference in Mauritius in 2005. I was denied an RMI scholarship, so, I attended the University of the South Pacific, 2005-2007, and graduated in the Social Science field.

I worked at the Bank of the Marshall Islands for about 3 months before joining the United States Armed Forces in January of 2008 as an Infantryman. I was medically retired in 2013 while stationed in Hawaii after 2 years in South Korea.

I worked for the State of Hawaii for a year as a Juvenile Detention Worker while going to college at the same time. I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice, focusing on Homeland Security and Crime Scene Investigations.

I moved to the State of Arkansas in 2018, where I worked as an Animal Control Officer for the City of Springdale, as a Juvenile Probation Officer for the Benton County Government, and now, I work as an Arkansas State Probation/Parole Officer for the Washington County Office.

Side note: If you went to court at any point, and you think you might have a warrant, let me know!
